Points System

Scoring for each Head-to-Head match up will be cumulative for 1 week and calculated by Yahoo. This will result in a regular season game total of 22 games.

The following points system was provided to me from another league, and has been in use for 20 years. Suffice it to say, this point system is time tested.

Scoring for Batting Categories

  • AB – At Bats -0.5 points
  • BB – Walks (Batters) 1 point
  • CS – Caught Stealing -0.3 points
  • GDP – Ground Into Double Plays -0.5 points
  • H – Hits 0.5 points
  • HP – Hit by Pitch 1 point
  • KO – Strikeouts (Batter) -0.1 points
  • R – Runs 1.5 points
  • RBI – Runs Batted In 1 point
  • SB – Stolen Bases 2 points
  • SH – Sacrifice Hits 0.3 points
  • TB – Total Bases 1 point

Scoring for Pitching Categories

  • BBI – Walks Issued (Pitchers) -1 point
  • BS – Blown Saves -10 points
  • ER – Earned Runs -3 points
  • HA – Hits Allowed -1 point
  • HB – Hit Batsmen -1 point
  • HD – Holds 1 point
  • HRA – Home Runs Allowed -1 point
  • INN – Innings 3.3 points
  • IRS – Inherited Runners Scored -0.5 points
  • K – Strikeouts (Pitcher) 1 point
  • S – Saves 8 points
  • W – Wins 8 points

    Waiver signings are done using the inherent system on Yahoo.

    Roster moves (waiver claims and free-agent signings) are limited to 3 moves per week per team. There is no limit to the amount of trades a team can be involved in (both during the regular and off-seasons).
